I heart you.

Can you ever have enough Breton tees? Can you? CAN YOU? Answer: Heck No. It's a scientific FACT that once you start your maritime collection, there's no going back. At the last count I have fleet of beauties anchored to my railings, all different and all necessary (yes, necessary). I have been known to bleat on about decluttering/thinning down/editing one's wardrobe but I make a total exception when it comes to horizontal stripes. Load them up, they are essential cargo.

On a recent visit to see my pal Olivia Purvis selling her preloved wares at the *The Bloggers Market at The Collective in London, my nautical radar was alerted to a classic from Barbour. This Brae striped tee, part of Barbour’s Spirit of Adventure collection for the festival season. The pull for me is in the simplicity of the cut and the quality of the cotton. You can get your own hands on one at Country Attire.

I've styled it here with a pair of navy palazzo pants; Marks and Spencer Per Una emerald green knit; Carvela for Kurt Geiger silver metallic heels; Revlon 'Fire and Ice' lips; silver bangles and a wonderful acrylic heart hair bobble which I had squirrelled away for such an occasion.

* The Bloggers Market - such a simple and blimin' great idea. Bloggers selling off their stuff with a percentage going to their chosen charity, plus a complimentary nail parlour courtesy of Boudoir Beauty Parlour. I took my daughters Connie (11) and Mary (13) and my cool mum factor rose from zero to 10. Unheard of. I shall keep you posted of the next event.
