Warm climes today so thank goodness for a fan, the most versatile of summer instruments: a cooler; a blue bottle fly zapper and a nosey-parker-hide-behind tool all rolled into one. If fanning-self doesn't cool me down I may have to resort to lying on the kitchen floor tiles, facing the cobbles, mind you I guarantee I'll find a 50 pence piece and a cricket ball.
